Tassels are back in with the emergence of maximalism design, and we are putting them on everything! Trims with tassels are a great addition to the bottom of a roman shade, chairs, sofas, or along the bottom of a lampshade. . . Ooooh, la la! Whenever possible, start with the floors and work your way up
Building your furniture footprint around an area rug is a great starting point for defining space. If your palette of furnishings and accessories is colorful, consider a neutral textured area rug. And, vice-a-versa, neutral rooms become more interesting with a bit of pattern and color.
When you design a custom area rug, the selections are endless! Imagine selecting the main pattern and color for your area rug, then choosing a contrasting pattern or color for the edge banding - the possibilities of design don’t end there! Continue creating by selecting one of the patterns from your design and create a coordinating hallway or stairway runner.
2022 Transitions Away From All Those Grays
For a couple of years now the design industry has been urging us to put those grays away. In our showroom, we are still seeing gray in many different ways, but more of a transition towards the warmer greige. How can you successfully wash those grays away without a total redo? Do it by coordinating color groups that include just a hint of your gray tones.
